What does it take to make your mark as an artist? Is the sacrifice worth the rewards?
When does art stop being the possession of the artist and public ownership
take over? In Cyrano: Translated, these challenging questions are addressed by three men, each in his own time and place: the historical Cyrano De Bergerac-- Father of Science Fiction writing; Edmond Rostand--French writer of the famous romantic play loosely based on Cyrano's life; and Brian Hooker-- American translator of Rostand's work. |
