Jose A. Garcia
Katherine began her career with a pink tutu, ballet slippers and a teddy bear and first appeared on stage dancing to “Teddy Bear’s Picnic” at age 4. Since her debut, Katherine tossed the ballet slippers in favor of bare feet and modern/contemporary style and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from The University of Michigan. Katherine has performed numerous dance styles; from jazz to Hawaiian hula, from musical theatre to Asian theatre. She has been caught directing the Basement Arts production of The Underpants, studying music theory, working as production crew and house manager, partaking in voice and acting lessons, and has developed her adoration for choreographing. Her choreography has been seen in Shrine Catholic High School’s production of Hello, Dolly!, University of Michigan Gilbert and Sullivan Society’s production of HMS Pinafore, Wylie E. Groves High School’s production of Once On This Island, and in various solo and group dance pieces. Katherine happily joins the Ouroboros family alongside her beloved Andrew.
